I think sometimes we think it’s going to be bigger because we’ve heard all the stories of anguish and people getting put out and people getting shot and murdered and all these bad and terrible things that keep happening, we don’t hear the stories where families out there who are more concerned that people are going to hurt their kid than their kid’s gay. I remember my mom said to me. That’s the main thing," I just want to know that you’re happy, I want to know that you’re going to be safe and that you’re going to be happy, that’s all I care about. And knowing that people are going to say things, bad things about you or hurt you that hurt me too".

I wonder if people sometimes say the homophobic stuff even though they don’t believe it just because there’s that other dichotomous thing about if you’re not homophobic does that mean you’re gay.
