Gender Expression - Out of the Box
This project aims to capture lived experiences of persons who identify and express themselves outside of the male-female norm in ways that break down barriers and expand boundaries in relation to sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. Photographs depicts stories relating to well-being, as in, access to self-advancement opportunities persons LGBT persons feel they may have gained or been cheated out of as a result of their gender identity and expression. For example, access to health care, educational opportunities, employment opportunities, etc.
'Gender Expression - Out of the Box' was exhibited at the Medulla Art Gallery for the PRIDE Arts FestivaArt Exhibit in Trinidad and Tobago in 2017 and was hosted by I Am ONE TnT and also at Pride Jamaica 2017 #PrideJA2017, this was hosted by Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All- Sexuals and Gays (J-FLAG).
Capturing LGBT Migration
In June of 2013, Ulelli was awarded a grant from the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice’s Global Arts Fund for photo-documentation project on the migration of Guyanese and Caribbean LGBT people to North America, 'Capturing LGBT Migration from the Caribbean to North America'. which was launch at the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archive June 2014 for World Pride in collaboration with"Envisioning Global Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Human Rights," and "Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archive" under the team 'Imaging Home Migration Resistance Contradiction'.
Stand Against Transphobia
This project was commissioned to highlight Transgender women in Guyana in observance of Transgender Day of Visibility, celebrated on March 31, annually. This gallery features photos from the 'Stand Against Transphobia' exhibition that was housed at the National Library in Guyana.
